Women, Money and the Will to Waive Hands
Kerry K. Taylor is the sole blogger on Squawkfox.com. She writes about a lot of things with topics ranging from frugal living to getting a job, from holiday shopping to travel and fitness. If it relates to money and how to do something better, Kerry K. is probably writing about it.
However rather than telling you how big of a deal Kerry K. Taylor is, why don’t you just check out her blog, you will probably like it. (click the image below for financial straight talk).
Kerry K. Taylor was our very first guest on the Because Money Podcast, check her out here in this marathon of an episode:
Making things happen… Thanks for connecting with us here, we hope you enjoy the show!
What a great episode with our very first guest on the #BecauseMoney Podcast. Kerry K. Taylor who tweets @squawkfox and blogs at squawkfox.com joined us and we talked about everything! Seriously… Everything.
Summary
Seriously, we covered a lot in this episode, from what does living frugally look like to handling the dynamics of family at Christmas and dealing with gift giving. If you haven’t already check out Kerry K. Taylor’s most recent blog post, this got some air time in our conversation.
Probably the best tweet of the evening was shared by Noel D’Souza quoting Kerry K. as saying…
#BecauseMoney Quote of the event “Cows are useful”. #BecauseCows
— Noel D’Souza (@TOMoneyCoach) November 28, 2013
Some of the other other topics we covered included:
- Scarves and Spam Bots
- Consumerism around Christmas time “taking a holiday diet”
- Teaching your kids the value of things
- Minimalism, living within you means and enjoying small things
- Does one toy in mean one toy out?
- Thoughtful year round gift giving
- Tactics on Saving money at grocery stores
The general feel of the conversation was around responsible family finance. Kerry K. Taylor brings home a lot of points… certainly knows her stuff. Well worth the extended timestamp on the video!

I agree about Christmas , we have so much all year there really isn’t much we “need” . My son is 24 now and would really like a house or Ipad for Xmas neither which is he getting from us so we are going scrooge until the grand kids show up.
Great to hear some one else talking about a house full of crap , it all has to be dusted………..now riding tack box for the barn or new feeders for the horses is different! lol
Ha! We should develop a universal “you gave it to me so you dust it” rule.
